Exclusive use gives the bride & groom complete private hire of the house and a total of 41 bedrooms. This naturally means that there are no additional room hire charges to be incurred and what all brides especially love about exclusive use is knowing that they will see just their friends and family wherever they go in the house.

The hotel is effectively closed to anyone other than the wedding party for the duration of their event, impromptu visitors to the hotel during an exclusive use event are not even allowed across the threshold such is the desire to respect the privacy required by booking exclusive use.

Increasingly we are finding that there is a bigger demand for the personal atmosphere that an exclusive use event provides. The word that continually springs up is "house party feel" which is exactly what can be had by hiring a venue privately.

The period of exclusive hire usually runs from 2.00pm until 11.00am the following morning, generally departing after a hearty breakfast. The rate will normally be inclusive of full English breakfast for all resident guests

To achieve the best value from an exclusive use event you should consider having your wedding on a week day, or even a Sunday which is becoming increasingly popular. Friday and Saturday are, naturally, the most popular. The key is to be flexible, we are very happy to assist you in offering alternative scenarios.

We start the planning for a wedding with obtaining an approximate outline of the day from the bride and this is usually based around the time of the ceremony, be it happening at the hotel or locally. From this we can start to pull the day together and this prompts further questions such as the number of guests, where certain parts of the day are to take place, how guests are to be seated, what their thoughts are regarding menus, wines, entertainment and also what they want to achieve from the day. It's a simple question to ask but can change the course and nature of a wedding day. This is perhaps where Lucknam Park differs from a lot of wedding venues. The flexibility that is offered as a result of taking exclusive use is shown by the individual and bespoke approach we take to all aspects of the day – if you want the restaurant purely lit by candles or bacon sandwiches served at midnight or a morning of traditional country pursuits after the wedding itself then we can provide all of this. It goes without saying that the canapés, menu, wines and Champagnes are all decided upon by the bride & groom following, if required, a meeting with the Chef and the Sommelier who are always delighted to be able to help with such important decisions.
